Ovviamente anche io ne ho preso uno di ultima generazione, ma il fatto è che la risoluzione nativa di MSTS, a differenza di quella di OR, è proprio quella che ti appare a te, mentre a me, che pure ho nuovamente installato MSTS dai 2 cd sul nuovo pc, quest'ultimo non mi parte proprio, come se non l'avessi mai installato, mentre OR va alla grande.
Quello che voglio dire: a questo punto, se vuoi aggiustare la risoluzione secondo me devi ( o dovresti, perchè, per carità, potrei anche sbagliarmi, a maggior ragione perchè MSTS non mi parte proprio ) operare sulle impostazioni del tuo monitor, e non su quelle di default di MSTS.
Questo perchè mi pare di capire che la risoluzione di MSTS non si adatti ai nuovi monitor, ma che conservi quella propria sua, che poi è quella nativa propria del simulatore.

P.S. Molto probabilmente lo vedi con le bande nere laterali perché il tuo monitor ha una impostazione che sente quando gli arriva una immagine 4/3 ed automaticamente si commuta a quella risoluzione (fa così anche il mio schermo, che è un Samsung come il tuo).
